Participant Eligibility Form

 

This eligibility form is to be submitted by a youth candidate applying for a placement under Discovering Potential: Youth Internship and Training Subsidy Program. Your employer or training provider will also submit an eligibility form for approval under this program.

The information that you provide in this form is collected for the purposes of determining your eligibility to participate in the program. This information may be used and/or disclosed for policy analysis, research and/or evaluation purposes.

Overview of Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to participate in Discovering Potential: EHRC’s Youth Internship and Training Subsidy Program, the participant must meet the following criteria:

  • Be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the start of their placement opportunity
  • Be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or person who has been granted Refugee status in Canada
  • Be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations
  • Not receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits at the start of their placement opportunity.
  • Not currently enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies.
  • Un- or under-employed prior to the start of the placement
